What is "High Speed" Internet?
High Speed Internet is a service offered by Sasktel, providing Internet connections at speeds between 5x and 50x normal dial-up speeds (depending on chosen package). This service works on your telephone line, but does not tie up your phone line. It is available in most urban centres, and is becoming available in more and more rural areas.
Also, High Speed Internet relieves many of the issues of traditional dial-up. No longer do you have to worry about using too much "Internet Time" every month. No longer do you have to worry about missing an important call because you or your children are on the Internet.
How does it get installed in my house?
There are two ways that High Speed can be installed in your house. You can have SaskTel come up to the house and install all of the hardware, and then have us come up and configure your computer for the Internet, or you can opt to do a "self-install". The self-install process is usually quicker, although it is not recommended if you do not feel confident in your abilities to install it yourself.
SaskTel High Speed Internet is now available in Moose Jaw, Rouleau, Mossbank, Mortlach, Chaplin and Cental Butte.
